I originally put this together for my own Higher Level 3rd year class before our final lesson together this week. I wanted them to become really familiar with the exam paper layout, timings, where easy marks can be picked up, and how to avoid losing marks unnecessarily before heading into exam week.
After sharing a preview online, a few people asked for a copy too — so I decided to finish it properly and share it.
Inside you'll find:
✓ Full worked solutions throughout
✓ Attempt marks highlighted so students know where marks are available
✓ Suggested timings for certain questions
✓ Exam tips and common mistakes to avoid
✓ Guidance on where easy marks can be picked up
✓ A full paper walkthrough focused on building confidence and exam technique
One thing I really wanted students to realise is that there are a surprising number of marks available simply through identifying formulas, substituting values correctly, and showing attempts. Sometimes students think they need every question perfect, when really knowing how to access marks can make a huge difference.
I hope this helps take some stress out of revision and gives students confidence heading into the exam.
