The Fifth Year assignments provide accessible and structured practice for students who are still developing confidence with algebra.

The Sixth Year assignments contain more substantial, exam-relevant questions and are designed to reflect the increased level of challenge students will encounter as they prepare for the Leaving Certificate examination.

SCAFFOLDED SUPPORT

The scaffold sheets break important algebra skills into clear, manageable steps. They can be used for initial teaching, revision, additional support, homework or independent practice.

TEACHER SUPPORT

Fully worked solutions and SEC-style marking schemes are included to make correcting easier and to help teachers demonstrate how marks may be awarded. These marking schemes are independently created in an SEC-inspired format and are not official SEC materials.

The accompanying PowerPoint supports whole-class teaching and revision using examples that are separate from the assignment questions.

COLLABORATIVE REVISION

The printable Tarsia puzzle gives students an opportunity to practise algebra in pairs or small groups. Students match each question to its correct answer to construct the completed puzzle. A teacher solution is included for quick checking.
